I am excited and honored to welcome you to ISU Credit Union!

On June 7, 2017, the Board of Directors and Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union members overwhelmingly voted for your Credit Union to merge with ISU Credit Union. Effective July 1, 2017, this vote joined two Credit Unions with a common goal and purpose – to provide you, the Member-owner, with personalized, friendly service, and financially rewarding products. This partnership ensures you will continue to see these benefits, along with new and enhanced features that could have only been made available by partnering with ISU Credit Union.

Our combined Credit Union now has over $230 million in assets and approximately 32,000 members, with eight full service branch locations throughout Southeast Idaho. These branches are in addition to the more than 5,000 CO-OP Shared Branch locations and nearly 30,000 CO-OP Network ATMs available to ISU Credit Union members nationwide with no surcharge. ISU Credit Union also provides convenient access through industry-leading online and mobile banking technologies. The result is a stronger Credit Union, with the ability for you to access your accounts in more places than ever before.

On September 1, 2017, we will begin integrating Scenic Fall FCU accounts into our system.  When this conversion is finished, you will have complete access to ISU Credit Union's products and services.  Until then we anticipate no changes on your account, and the same services you currently enjoy will continue to operate as usual.

Merger FAQs - General Overview

  • When will the merger with ISU Credit Union be completed?

    On July 1, 2017, your Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union (Scenic Falls FCU) membership will officially become an ISU Credit Union (ISUCU) membership. On that date, all Scenic Falls branches will open as ISUCU branches. Then, on September 1, we will complete the merger process by converting your existing Scenic Falls accounts and products to ISUCU accounts and products that are most similar to what you have now.

  • Why are you doing this merger?

    In today’s ever-changing economy, our Board of Directors evaluated strategic possibilities to ensure that you, our member, will continue to receive the full range of products and services you deserve. After considering alternatives, we determined that a merger with ISU Credit Union is in the best interest of our members. Both Scenic Falls FCU and ISU Credit Union are in very good financial condition.

  • Will my accounts stay the same?

    All Scenic Falls FCU accounts will be mapped to equivalent ISUCU accounts.

  • How will this unification affect my current deposit and loan rates?

    Deposit account rates for Share/Savings, Share Draft/Checking, Club, and Money Market accounts will switch over after June 30, 2017 to the current rate ISUCU is paying on those accounts. Rates on Certificates of Deposit (CDs) will remain the same until the certificate maturity date.  Rates on loans will remain the same until the maturity date of the loan.

  • Will my account number and routing number change?

    All account numbers will be amended with a prefix digit that begins with “75” and incorporates your existing account number. Beginning September 1, 2017, Scenic Falls FCU’s routing number will convert to ISUCU routing number – 324173639.

  • Do I have to change my direct deposit and automatic payment allotment?

    No. Scenic Falls FCU members’ direct deposits, ACH, automated credit and debit entries, transfers, all electronic items including retirement and Social Security will be automatically redirected to ISUCU during the merger process. If they set up a new direct deposit or preauthorized debit after September 1, 2017, they must use their new ISUCU account number and routing number.

  • What if I already have accounts with ISUCU?

    For dual members, all Scenic Falls FCU accounts will transfer to the members’ existing ISUCU profiles as separate accounts. If they desire, members can ask that the new, transferred accounts be combined with like ISUCU accounts that they previously had with Scenic Falls FCU, or they can keep the transferred accounts separate.

  • Will I receive new checks for each checking account I have?

    Scenic Falls FCU members will not receive new checks. Scenic Falls FCU members may continue to use their Scenic Falls checks, even after the September 1, 2017, conversion date. We recommend that when members reorder checks after the conversion date, September 1, 2017, they reorder with the ISUCU routing number and proper account number.   • Will my accounts still be insured?

    Your accounts will continue to be federally insured just as they are today, up to at least $250,000, through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, which is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government and managed by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

  • Will online banking and mobile app access change?

    On September 1, 2017, Online Banking will be done through the ISUCU website. Similar to the Scenic Falls FCU login process, the login can be found on the ISUCU homepage at isucu.org. You will use your current account number and a temp password to set up your online access. Once signed up, Scenic Falls FCU members can download the ISUCU mobile app and begin to access their account through their mobile phone.

  • Will I have to re-enter my bill pay information?

    All Scenic FCU bill pay accounts and payment information will transfer to ISUCU’s Paylinks Bill Pay system; members will not need to re-enter that information. You will however be losing your bill pay history beginning September 1, 2017. Please print off any history you would like to keep before the September 1 conversion date.

  • How long will Scenic Falls FCU debit cards continue to work?

    Scenic Falls FCU debit cards will remain active throughout the summer. Replacement Mastercard® debit cards and instructions will be mailed by mid-August 2017.

  • Will my internal transfers remain, or do I need to set them up again?

    Internal transfers will remain after the merger. ISUCU will contact the members if any internal transfers cannot be converted.

  • When can I start using ISU Credit Union branches?

    All ISUCU locations will be available for SFFCU members to use beginning Monday, July 3, 2017.  Please note that due to the federal holiday, all ISUCU locations will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
